Will this work on my device?
Answer a couple of questions and we will tell you straight away.
Devices that cannot be supported
These are not limitations we can work around, so it is worth knowing early.
iPad and iPod touch
They have no Apple Health, so there is no activity data for the app to read. Active Living works on iPhone.
Android 7.1 and older
The Ismaili app needs Android 8.0 or newer.
Phones without the Google Play Store
Health Connect is only distributed through Google Play, so it cannot be installed without it. This includes most Huawei phones sold after 2019.
Devices that work, with something extra
Most Android phones fall here. They can run Active Living, but only once Health Connect has an app or watch writing steps into it.
- Samsung Galaxy — use Samsung Health
- Google Pixel and stock Android — use Fitbit or Google Fit
- Other phones and watches — Garmin, Amazfit, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Oppo, Vivo
Devices that work straight away
iPhone, and Apple Watch paired to an iPhone. Your iPhone counts steps in its own hardware, so there is nothing extra to install. See iPhone setup.
We told you it is not supported, but you disagree
